Super Mario Galaxy is awesome.

Not just awesome, but I would argue that Super Mario Galaxy is the greatest 3D game ever made. What? Brawl? No. Not at all. This is the pinnacle of 3D gaming so far. And I speak as a hardened 2D game fanatic, who has often spurned more than passable 3D animation and games willy nilly.

I seriously believe it to be a better game than Super Mario 64. And easily a better game than Sonic Adventure. So, nyerrr. My favourite bit was probably the Gusty Garden Galaxy. The music and the design of that level kicked ass.

This history of this fanart is long and boring. I started work on it a few weeks after the release of the game in Europe (sometime in mid-November), and got the line art finished at some point in early December. I then let it rot for about a month, before I scanned it in, determined to do "something" with it.

So, I think at the start of this month, I got back into colouring with my tablet. And this was after an incredibly long period of huffing at it and turning back on it, knowing that I wasn't too hot with using it to colour. And I did that Eggman picture, so that kinda built me up for this.

In all honesty, I'm kinda sick of my gallery being 75% B/W stuff, no matter how great and effective black and white is most of the time. SO, here's some colour stuff... with hopefully more to come. Gotta practise, gotta practise.

Anyway, this took me about... 2 hours for the black and and white lineart (using pencils as templates, followed by Faber Castel inking pens and a Pentel bursh pen) and then another 5 or 6 for the colouring in Adobe Photoshop CS? I suck and am slow. Also, a perfectionist.
